FAMILY PORTRAITS

Family Portraits are a great method of capturing the relationship and personality of a family, and to preserve those memories for ages to come.

When it comes to selecting a photographer, I'll be honest... we're all a dime a dozen. It doesn't take much to shoot a photograph that's in focus with everyone poses and smiling for the camera. Anyone can do that.

Beyond being able to shoot a properly exposed and focused image, your photographer needs to understand your family dynamics, and what signifies your bond, your lifestyle, your interests, your personalities, and each members individualities.

This is where I love to learn about what makes your family special, and to then find ways of capturing those qualities frame by frame.

When a family hires me to being their Family Portrait Photographer, I like to host a sit down meeting with them, discuss their goals and get to know their personalities, hobbies, lifestyles for each person, as well as what they do together as a family.

We then proceed to plan out shots showing their life in action, being who they are and capturing those motions and evoking the emotion from each image.

Honestly, if all you want to do is sit and smile for the camera, I'm probably not the best photographer for you. As you'll see from my galleries, I love going to extremes and creating stories from the images I capture.
